I am a true sucker for an intimate elopement that’s just the bride and groom. Krista and Jon wanted their wedding day to be all about the two of them, and it suited their relationship perfectly. They had so much fun together, and their dynamic made every moment feel effortless. Keep reading to see how their intimate NYC elopement at The Beekman turned out!

Intimate New York City Elopement

They chose to have their elopement photos at The Beekman in NYC, which I was so excited about. The architecture is stunning, and I knew it was the perfect fit for the vibe they were going for.

They started their day with a sexy getting-ready session, but this time it was just the two of them in their hotel room together. We captured some spicier photos of them helping each other get ready before they read their private vows. It was so sweet. They laughed, cried, and were so fully immersed in each other that it was incredible to watch.

Afterward, we explored the rest of the hotel and created more editorial, grand portraits throughout the space. I always say that getting couples to interact with their location is one of the most fun parts of a session because it adds so much dimension to the photos.

We also ventured outside onto the streets of NYC, where she wore a gorgeous faux fur coat while he smoked a cigarette. It felt so perfect for the mood of the day. The whole thing felt like something straight out of 90s New York.
