Hannah and Alex had a luxury, regal wedding at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Their day was so elegant and romantic, and I loved every minute of working with them. Keep reading to see how their gallery turned out!
They both got ready separately, Alex at the Four Seasons Philadelphia and Hannah at The Guild House. There was tons of laughter and so many small moments for both of them. The guys were relaxing and having drinks, while the girls got their hair and makeup done and helped each other get ready.
Since this was a December wedding, the color palette for the wedding party was a gorgeous mix of muted reds, pinks, and greens. Hannah’s dress was particularly stunning, full lace from top to bottom with lace sleeves. She also had a cathedral veil, which was absolutely stunning. I am always a sucker for the little details, especially her heels with pearls on them.

Instead of a first look, they opted for a first touch, which I don’t see too often with couples. They wanted to keep the tradition of seeing each other for the first time while walking down the aisle, but still have a moment to connect beforehand.
We did their first touch on the staircase, which was so stunning. I think a staircase was the perfect setting for a “first look” like this.

The ceremony was everything and more. It was candlelit, moody, and so romantic. I loved the way Alex teared up as he saw Hannah walking down the aisle.
The ceremony was definitely emotional, but there were still so many smiles and moments of laughter. You could tell everyone in the room was so happy for them, and I love taking the opportunity to capture the guests and their raw emotions in the moment because it gets to show the couple just how much support they have.

The bride and groom portraits are my personal favorite, as I get to pull the couple aside and give them a moment of privacy to be fully focused on each other. This is also a chance for us to get super creative with posing and prompting, and really execute the vision they’re looking for.
We used a few different locations within the venue, including a dark, moody room next to a huge window, as well as revisiting the staircase from their first touch.

Their reception felt like a royal wedding. There was so much candlelight, tall florals, and the space itself was incredibly regal, with old paintings on the walls, dark wood accents, and deep blue tones throughout.
They had a large wedding, but it still felt very intimate. I especially love the photos of them sitting at the sweetheart table, where you can see all of their guests, but it truly looks like they are the only two people in the room.

Here is the lovely note I received from the couple about their gallery:
“Hi we’re obsessed with them!! They’re INCREDIBLE! idk how we’re going to pick what to print. I think my favorite thing is that some of the black and white ones from the reception look like they’d be on a wall in an old bar. They just look so full of life and like it was a quick snapshot. Thank you thank you sooooooo much!”

Hannah and Alex’s day was the perfect mix of elegance, emotion, and intention, and it was such an honor to be a part of it. One of my favorite parts of working with them was the vision we created together beforehand. We put together a vision board prior to their wedding day, using it as a starting point for their portraits and building off of it with my own creativity and their natural chemistry. It made the entire experience feel so collaborative and personal.
I always approach wedding days with that same level of intention, which is why I offer full day coverage ranging from 8–12 hours depending on what your day needs. For Hannah and Alex, I even stayed a little longer to make sure everything was fully captured, because those extra moments always matter.
If you loved this wedding, I have so many more beautiful days like this on the blog. Feel free to explore and get inspired for your own. 🤍
