If you’re planning a Sicilian wedding in your future, I recently had the pleasure of attending this styled shoot workshop hosted by Sydnee Rayl Photography. The entire concept was designed to feel like a very intimate wedding, with so much inspiration pulled from the destination itself, Sicily, Italy. Every little detail felt thoughtfully curated to reflect the beauty, charm, and warmth of the region.

We were at Le Calette Hotel, which overlooked the sea. You could see the water from almost every part of the venue, whether you were standing at the ceremony setup or sitting at the dinner table. It was absolutely breathtaking. The decor was colorful and inspired by the delicious food Italy has to offer, with lemons, tomatoes, peppers, and other fresh details woven throughout the tablescape. The florals were just as stunning, featuring beautiful shades of pink and maroon that brought everything together perfectly.

Some of my favorite photos from the evening were of the couple at the ceremony setup, along with the rice-throwing departure during blue hour. We were able to use flash for those final images, which gave them such a fun, editorial feel and made them some of my favorites from the entire shoot.
